July 2009 Blog Income Report

Written by Ben Pei on August 2, 2009 | 16 Comments | 951 Views

Finally, a breather to write something on this blog!

I have been flooded with design orders recently and have been neglecting this for a bit. Since it is the beginning of a new month, I would like to share with you guys my earnings record for my past month.

1. Services – $2315.17
2. Banner Ads – $540
3. Text Link Ads – $42.90
4. Adsense – $145.76

Total: $3043.83

As you can see, my earnings from services made up the bulk of my earnings this month. I haven’t done much on affiliate marketing and the earning was minor, so I decided not to include in the report.

So, what are your earnings for the month of July? Hope to know how some of you guys are doing!

Ben Pei Dot Com July Updates

Written by Ben Pei on July 5, 2009 | 8 Comments | 809 Views

Big apologies to those who have been following Ben Pei Dot Com but only to see a broken messed up theme. My new custom theme is about 80% complete and I guess I should make it live as soon as I can.

Here are some updates to give you some heads up about my blog.

1) Glad to bring this blog to a PR4 in it’s first month. Appreciate those who linked here!

2) 3 Sponsored slots taken. Thanks to Leo, Dina and Brian!

3) RSS Subscribers hit 241 and Twitter Followers at 8,515 as I am typing this now.

4) My Blogging Product Pro Blogging Secrets is almost ready to launch at the end of this month. Something to be excited about!

The RSS subscription is working fine and you guys can go ahead and subscribe to it if you haven’t. The opt in box still requires some work and I will update you as soon as it is done. Otherwise, this new blog theme is good to go! With some additions and tweaks along the way definitely…

Some thoughts about english language words which can really mess you up. When I look at the word ‘renovation’, I always get reminded of my dad because he never fails to pronouce it as ‘revonation’. On a broad view, you won’t notice anything wrong and it doesn’t sound really wrong but if you take a closer look, you will see the mistake. But my dad is proud of it!

Now, how about Certificate and Cerfiticate?

Do you have anything you can share? Let me know here!

10 Cruel Facts About Working In An Office Cubicle

Written by Ben Pei on June 10, 2009 | 20 Comments | 1,386 Views

This post is dedicated to all office workers out there.

If you work in an office then I am pretty sure there were mornings when you dragged yourself out of bed and then tell yourself you’re going to do this for the rest of your life. Now, if you still aren’t discouraged enough then let me share with you 10 cruel facts about working in an office cubicle.

1) Being told to “Think outside the box” when you are in the darn cubicle all day.

2) Not being able to check e-mail attachments without first checking who is behind you.

3) Fabric cubicle walls do not offer much protection from any kind of gun fire.

4) 23 power cords, 1 power outlet.

5) Prison cells are not only bigger, they have beds.

6) When tours come through, you get peanuts thrown at you.

7) Can’t slam the door when you quit and walk out.

8) If you talk to yourself, it causes all the surrounding cubicle inhabitants to pop their heads over and say “What? I didn’t hear you.”

9) If our boss calls you and asks you to go into his office for a minute, the walk there is like a funeral march. People hand you tissues as you pass and refuse to make eye contact.

10) You always have the feeling that someone is watching you, but by the time you turn around, they’re gone!

Now my friends, how have these cold hard facts hit you? It’s about time you consider laying your office job aside and consider the alternative of making money online. Subquently, I will write reasons to making money online and the numerous way which you can work on.

Ben Pei Visits Japan

Written by Ben Pei on June 8, 2009 | 11 Comments | 1,378 Views

It has been some time since I last took a short breather and this time round it was a 1 week trip to Japan! Many of you may have noticed that I haven’t been appearing much on the blogosphere. Now you know why!

The places I visited while I was in Japan were Hamamatsu, Osaka, Nara (famous for the gigantic Todaiji temple) and Kyoto. I tell you, Japan is a totally cool country (weather inclusive) and the people there gave me so much inspiration to share my blogging ideas. In my upcoming blog posts, you will see how I related my real life happenings into virtual blogging world and actually benefiting from it. Despite the Swine Flu terror going on, especially in Osaka, the trip was definitely an eye opener and I am glad I am back here safely in my home town. Do check out my photos below and keep coming back for more fresh blog posts!

I will definitely return that place when I have a chance to. So much for now, do remember to check back and subscribe for I am going to share a whole lot of my ideas from real life to internet marketing. Tell me how you find these photos!
