How To Properly Submit Your Articles

Written by Ben Pei on July 30, 2009 | 9 Comments | 2,283 Views

Learning how to submit articles properly is extremely vital to your success as an internet marketer. You can have the most well-written keyword embedded articles around, but if you do not submit them properly there is no use for them.

How exactly do you properly submit articles?

You are going to start with your article in a word document. Assuming you have outsourced your article writing or have written your article yourself.

Title:

You are going to copy and paste your title into the box labeled “title”.

Keywords:

To get the keywords related to your title you can do a simple google search on google for a ‘free keyword suggestion tool”. It should pull up many free keyword suggestion tools. You want to pick the very best words around your title. You only have a maximum of 300 characters so you want to choose your keywords wisely.

Article Body:

You are going to want to take your article written in a word document, copy the body, and paste it into the slot that says article body. You want to make sure you have paragraph breaks and not to many keywords. Ezine articles will let you know if you have inserted too many keywords. At this point you are ready to insert your resource box.

Resource box:

For the resource box, it is easy to get a program such as Microsoft Front Page. You are able to copy and paste your resource box from Microsoft Front Page right into the resource box on your article directory.

Before you click submit, you are going to want to submit your articles to various article directories by copying and pasting. These 5 other article directories will include the following: Isnare, Go articles, Articles Base, Article Dashboard, and finally Article Marketer. By submitting to the following article directories you are creating massive back links in various search engines.

Pitfalls To Avoid When Starting Your Affiliate Marketing Business

Written by Ben Pei on July 23, 2009 | 4 Comments | 1,179 Views

Well, you have left that awful job and now are working for yourself. You have jumped on board your new venture which is affiliate marketing. You’re incredibly excited and are working all the hours God sends to make this venture a success. You checking up and monitoring your site and you see that sales are going quite well. Many of the strategies and things that you put in place have helped your affiliate company sell quite a bit. The end of the month finally arrives and you’re waiting for that first large payment. When you check your account you are slightly disappointed. You did make some money but according to your calculations you should have had more. You check your sales figures again and decide to contact the company. They inform you that some of the items sold were returned so those had to be deducted from your commission.

This is disappointing but it does happen. Companies do not pay out commission on returned goods. You need to be aware of this to avoid fall into further pitfalls. No one would expect to be paid a commission on a returned item however; some less than honest affiliate marketing companies can use this to scam some of your profits. You need to make sure you understand their return policy and how it will affect the amount that you are paid.

A return occurs of course when a customer brings an item back. Charge backs can also happen when they dispute an amount on a credit card. Be sure you keep a close watch on which items are being chargeback or returned. See if there are any patterns that are obvious. If you notice that the orders that are charged back are always very high ticket orders then they could be giving you false information. They are doing this to keep you commission down and keep some for themselves. Keep a close eye on returns especially if you think it is happening a little too often.

Charge backs are also indicative of another more serious problem. If you notice that many of these charge backs are happening during an initial trial period, or the money back guarantee time, then there could be further problems. This is a sign that the product or service that you are promoting isn’t up to customer satisfaction. It could be misleading or just poor quality. However, it will effect your commission and your future as an affiliate marketer. If this seems like it is happening a little too often then again, there are problems somewhere in the company. Look to get out and make alternative arrangements.

You also need to be aware of which items are actually commissionable. Make sure you understand which products you will be earning money from to avoid disappointment later. Sometimes the company will offer a selection of products to put on your site, however only certain items may be commissionable. Before agreeing to anything like this checks your terms and conditions carefully.

Finally, you also need to make sure that items that are sold don’t have any other conditions attached. Some will only pay a commission if the customer fills in the payment details immediately. If they select an item and continue to shop, you may not receive any commission on that item. You can also loose commission if the customer clicks on any other links before completing the order. If they order 30 of an item you promoting but click on something else then you have lost out on quite a large amount of commission.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn money. However, before jumping in head first you need to read your terms and conditions carefully. It may be worth having an attorney look them over for you. You need to be aware of the many pitfall people fall into when they go into affiliate marketing. Read and understand your terms to avoid disappointment later.

Make Money Online
Have you ever gotten into so many different affiliate networks that you probably have lost count and still not making any good money? Well, you are not alone. Affiliate marketing is always termed as the easiest way to make money online but is it really that easy for everyone? I wouldn’t dare to answer that question until I met Eric Schechter, Social Media Manage of ClickBooth a few days ago. Believe me or not, I was quite taken aback by his amiability because I used to have the impression that social media managers are normally very stuck up. Not in this case anyway… By the way, don’t confuse yourself with ClickBank and ClickBooth, they are two different matters!

Eric gave me a lot of input about ClickBooth and since I found them really interesting and useful, I know it has to go on this blog.

Branding Is The Next Big Thing

Written by Ben Pei on July 18, 2009 | 2 Comments | 1,303 Views

Brand blogging, or rather, dedicating an entire blog to one product or more specifically a company or enterprise is an intriguing concept. When blogging started to become mainstream, many were moved to share their enthusiasm, love, (and sometimes hate) of a particular brand or company via the internet. Think of the rating system companies such as Amazon offer and you get an idea of how it works. Brand blogging just takes it to a whole new level. Consumers are actually pretty excited to be able to read first-hand accounts of why or why not something does or doesn’t work and why somebody would recommend buying or not buying a product.

For example, imagine that you have never tried a popular drink, be it a sports drink or a brand of beer. Just type in the product you are looking for in a search engine, followed by “blog” and you will have pages of personal testimony. Same thing applies to about almost anything under the sun. Even some grocery stores have blogs dedicated to them (Trader Joe’s comes to mind immediately), and followers will use what they are reading as a shopping guide.

Are companies aware that they are being blogged? Most bloggers are in it for their own personal satisfaction, and the brands they post about are never the wiser. However, some blogs have become so popular they attract hundreds, even thousands of followers. Those bloggers become unofficial gurus for a product, as was the case of one blogger whose site about Gatorade become phenomena in its own time. That is when companies really sit up and take notice. Savvy marketers for the brand or company in question follow the posts and the replies when designing new products or targeting consumers.

As far back as 2005, Vespa started to ride the wave of brand blogging, and commissioned two bloggers to write about them, albeit without pay. Nowadays, there are more and more companies willing to pay professional bloggers or sponsor their blogs. Other companies offer compensations, such as trips, free samples or books to bloggers. This raises the interesting point of how biased such bloggers may become and whether or not there should be a disclosure notice posted somewhere on their site. It is worthwhile to note that some bloggers, especially ones who attract hundreds of hits daily, are already starting to post whether or not they are paid for their opinions. Interestingly enough, the most popular ones are rarely paid out right but often do receive sponsorship.

Does that mean that it is a great idea to start a brand blog, say for Nike or Adidas, (as if there weren’t already countless ones in existence!) in hopes of getting rich quick or getting lots of free samples? Realistically, you would need to attract a lot of followers (like in the many hundreds or even thousands) to draw any sort of attention to your posts. Also, the bigger the business, the more people probably have a similar or identical idea to yours. Run your idea through a search engine, and see how many results you get back. That doesn’t necessarily make it a bad idea though. The better known a brand is, the more searches are made constantly on it, which in turn may lead to you. Start with a broad idea and as your popularity grows, you can focus in on a narrower field.

Conversely, you could start with a narrow interest and then link or expand your own or parallel blogs on the same product from other manufacturers. Who knows? Brand blogs might be the biggest advertising tool ever, and most certainly are not going to go away anytime soon.

Are You Getting Enough Links Yourself?

Written by Ben Pei on July 12, 2009 | 17 Comments | 948 Views

We all know that link building plays an important role in our struggle to climb up the SE rankings. Many people have tried, failed and gave up because they do not know where exactly to get back links from! Having a few friends link to your site is easy, but how about having 10,000 links? We are not talking about dirty bad link but only quality links that Google actually loves. Today, I am going to introduce to you a directory submission service and will help you build up thousands of backlinks to your site, without you putting in a single effort.

GetLinksPro offers a wide range of services at an affordable price ranging from $8 per 100 submissions to $60 per 1000 submissions. That makes it $0.06 per submission only! That’s about the cheapest submission service you can find in the market these days. Are you not convinced yet?

Let me tell you why you really need to build up your back links…

1) Higher SE Position
With a higher SE position, it shows that Google is in favour of you and so will your potential visitors. Why? Because not everyone is able to climb up the search engine position, especially for highly targeted keywords.

2) More Targeted Traffic
Research has shown that the No. 1 website shown on the search results gets 60% of the clicks and what does that mean to you? A whole load of laser targeted traffic flooding your site. Imagine there are 1,000,000 search monthly for that particular keyword you work on and 60% of them click on your site, how much traffic would that bring you each month? You do the math!

And now what GetLinkPros can promise you…

Their policy is to ensure quality over quantity for these links because that’s what Google asks for. During the submission process you will receive confirmation E-mails. This will let you know that they are submitting and to which directories they are submitting to. Approximately 70% of the directories send a submission confirmation. Their base price includes submission reports. A report with list of the directories they submitted to will be sent to your email address upon order completion.

What I really love about GetLinkPros is the customer support they provide. If you haven’t been into the internet market for long, this is my advice… Always go for service that provides ultimate customer support because their help is what you really need when you screw up. GetLinkPros’ website offers a contact form and also an email clearly shown for you to reach the service provider. This is what I call credibility and reliability.

So if you to grow some quality inbound links to feed the SEO monster, head over to GetLinksPros and check out their directory submission service!
